NetworkControl
NetworkControl brings adapter information and IPv4 and DNS configuration together in a desktop app.
A new version is in preparation, with a refreshed interface and more professional features. Availability will be announced on this website.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need administrator privileges to apply changes. Save the current configuration before modifying it: a network change may interrupt a remote session.
View an adapter
Section titled “View an adapter”- Select the adapter in Adapters. Enable Show virtual adapters if you need to see them.
- In Overview, check DHCP, IP address, prefix, gateway and DNS.
- Use Reload to refresh the status.
Change IPv4 or DNS
Section titled “Change IPv4 or DNS”- Select the adapter.
- Open IPv4 or DNS and enter your network values.
- Review the changes and select Apply. Grant administrator privileges if requested.
- Check Overview and check the connection.
To restore an earlier configuration, use the values you saved. Do not rely on Revert to restore changes already applied.
If you cannot apply changes
Section titled “If you cannot apply changes”Check permissions, adapter availability and entered values. Use Reload to check the current state.
